Mr. Chavez - Music Teacher and Choir Director

At St. John Baptist De La Salle School, our Music program provides students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade with engaging, standards-based instruction that nurtures creativity, confidence, and a deep connection to faith through music.

Led by Mr. Chavez, music classes are held during the school day as part of our elective rotation and play a vital role in preparing students to lead and participate in our liturgical and faith-filled school celebrations.

What Makes Our Music Elective Special?

• Standards-Based Curriculum – Instruction aligned to grade-level Music standards, ensuring appropriate musical development at every stage

• Inclusive for All Grades (TK–8) – Every student participates and builds musical skills progressively each year
